I'm a network technician, not a doctor of mixology, but,

Wuhan Tonic In a 9 Oz. glass, Fill 1/3 with Merlot, from the box. Fill 2/3 with diet tonic water, slightly cooled.
Serve

I would say possibly an effective and practical treatment for the Wuhan coronavirus has been found. But, it's good enough for me to change from mineral water to tonic water (be aware that a few people react badly to quinine).

Yesterday I was perhaps too fond of my new concoction, and finished 1 liter of tonic water. This morning I woke up with an unhappy stomach, possibly related. My plan is to limit consumption to 1/2 liter or less per day from now on.

Time for an update, I guess. Only for those who are retired, or otherwise have no place to go by operating automobiles, or other heavy machinery, or engaging in other activities where cognitive impairment could be dangerous (for Democrats piloting the ship of state, it might actually help- at least, it's difficult to imagine how it could make things worse): Here is a variation, For those who have reason to drink Merlot in the morning (apparently, it is a tonic for very mild angina):

1/3 Merlot (from the box).
1/3 Diet Dr. Pepper.
1/3 Diet tonic water.

Further background:

I am (practically speaking) retired, evidently by the prejudice of others (I live in "a very left-leaning place", where any appearance of holding "intolerant" views is little tolerated), not by choice.

I have no budget for luxuries, so, I justify a box of Merlot (the choice of Merlot is because I do not like Merlot, so I am not disappointed) on the grounds that scientific studies have, in a sense, recommended it for my health, in particular, heart health.

I should have emphasized, a year ago, that my recipe, and example, is intended for those who already drink, not for those who don't.

And, I should have mentioned the advice of Holy Scripture, perhaps, particularly, this warning:

who go to sample bowls of mixed wine.
