An old joke of my invention (as far as I can recall)

An old guy goes to a reunion. They hear speeches, and then file out for refreshments. "Oh yeah", says the old guy, to no one in particular. "I paid for my dinner". Somehow, he is late in line, and can't find a clean plate. A old woman he doesn't recognize looks at him in something resembling disgust, and says, "you could wash a plate" (it's a convention of people from a place advanced in "progress", early). He could wash a plate, if he knew where the kitchen was, but, he doesn't attempt it. Happily, refreshments are pizza, so he folds a slice in half, and meanders around, looking at the people, and places, without finding a place to to be, or even sit down, among the people, chatting busily. Eventually, the old guy stretches out on the floor to relax, and soon, everyone gets up to leave. Slowly, painfully, old people rise from their chairs, one old woman asks her husband "pull up?" Her husband chuckles, wearily, and embraces her, to pull her the rest of the way to her feet. Then, the old guy arises, smoothly,  from his prone position on the floor, as if by magic, in exactly the way old men never do. This attracts attention. People stare. Someone asks: "Aren't you old, too?" He replies, "I am, but, I'm an old marionette".

Speaker Nancy "the decapitator" Pelosi, queen of the Democrats, accuses

Speaker Nancy "the decapitator" Pelosi ostentatiously tore up her copy of the President's speech, on national TV, at the end of his State of the Union Address. It's unreasonable to assume that her opinion of anything he does is worth a moment's consideration. She should have zero credibility on the subject. The Democrats, after years of raving rhetorical assault on his character, should have zero credibility on the subject. About 9/10 of media (but, I repeat myself) should have zero credibility on the subject.

If they had any shame left, they would each hang their head in it, and resign.

We're way past 4D chess now

If I merge Sun Tzu and Walter Winchell (it's not mixed metaphor, it's fusion), I get:

The supreme excellence in conflict is to watch your opponent turn into a punch-drunk stumblebum before the fight begins.

Are supermarkets deemed superior to Christian fellowship?

If the supermarkets are allowed to open, with precautions, shouldn't Christian fellowship, at least, also be allowed, on similar terms? If not, do we have, arguably, regulations better fit for a people "...whose god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame"?

Christians are literally advised, in Scripture, not to avoid meeting together.
